Sail and Power Boating

"Boating is fun ... We'll show you how"

Welcome to the Website
of the
Champlain Power Squadron

The Champlain Power Squadron has been in existence for sixty years. We are part of the United States Power Squadron which is the largest safe boating organization in the world. Originally founded in 1914, USPS is a nonprofit organization devoted to boater safety. There are approximately 40,000 members in 450 squadrons across the United States.

Champlain Power Squadron is headquartered in Plattsburgh, NY on the shores of beautiful Lake Champlain. We meet at 1900 hours the first Tuesday of every month at the Mae Currier Center on the Tom Miller Road. Meetings are open to the public.

We are dedicated to the principal that boating is fun. The courses that we offer will hopefully result in safe as well as fun boating.

Our social activities include a fall Hauling-Out Party, a winter Pool Party, spring Change of Watch, and a summer Squadron Picnic/Barbecue/Clambake.
Our members volunteer their services and come from every walk of life.
We hope to see you at one of our meetings or in one of

our classes.

Feel free to contact me or any member of the Bridge with questions you may have.
Fair Winds and Fun and Safe Boating,
Dave Robertson
